Currently not taking commissions.
I decided to take a break from doing paintings for other people and concentrate on doing some new things myself. Feel free to contact me if you want to know when I will be starting to do commissions again. Thank you.
SISTERS
This portrait was commissioned by my niece capturing a moment between her daughters.

Memories of Friends Past
This is a commission done from an old photo of a young woman with her mare and it’s new colt. When e-mailing the woman in the painting - now much older - her story of the love she had for these two horses from her childhood, was clearly evident in the telling.

A Past Autumn
A commission from a photo of some kids, obviously taken around Halloween, who are now in there teens. I find it so enjoyable on a commission like this to see the subjects as they are today. Correspondence with their Mom allowed me to see them as they have matured. Better yet, Lauren, the little girl in the photo was there when I delivered the painting. The youngster I had become accustomed to through the painting process had become a beautiful teenager.

Portraying Grey
Friends commissioned this portrait of their grandson, Grey, as he approached his first birthday.
8 x 10 Acrylic on Canvas Board
Lakeside from the Past
Memories of shady summer days on Ottertail Lake in Minnesota. This painting was commissioned after selling a family cabin and it being torn down to make way for new memories.
16 x 20 Acrylic on Canvas Board

Jimmy
This was a commission done of a family’s favorite goat, Jimmy. Jimmy was apparently a curious fellow trying to get as close as possible by making his way through the fence.
12 x 16 Acrylic on Canvas Board

A Welcome Reminder
This consignment was created from a reference photo by my sister-in-law’s grandson. The blue jay was a favorite of her late husband, and the appearance of this jay over the holidays was a welcome sight.

The Engagement
Some friends asked me to paint a photo of the Indiana park where they were engaged. Turned out to be a pretty good wedding gift.

Tank Man Interpretation
This interpretation of the famous Tianamen Square photo was a commissioned piece.

Just a couple of. . . burros.
Some friends recently took a trip west on Route 66. They commissioned me to do a painting from some photos they took when they reached the end of the line. These jackasses apparently had to stop and take account of what was going on. The ones in the painting - not my friends.
